Tri-Peaks

Tri-Peaks along with Sandstone Peak, Inspiration Point, Big Dome & Pop Top

WOW - this was a classic- while all of LA was blanketed by thick fog we hiked above it for a "Sea of Clouds Sunrise" atop Sandstone Peak. Then took the opportunity to grab Inspiration Point, Tri-Peaks (to the true summit, not just the Benchmark), Pop Top and Big Dome. 7.4 miles, started at 6am and back to the car by 11am.

Difficulty:

Moderate when done as a loop including many peaks - if you want to get to the top of Tri-Peaks and not just to the Benchmark you will have to do a few low 5th class moves
