Warren Peak

Warren Peak via the West Side/Panorama Loop in Joshua Tree

The second of three peaks on this day. I combined the West Side Loop on the way up with the Panorama Loop on the way down. Though I've seen Warren identified as both Peak and Point, I went with Peak to match the trail signage. A bit windy at top but not uncomfortable. Fantastic views of San Jacinto/San Gorgonio and had it to myself. Would have signed a peak registry but someone brought it down as a lost and found item!!
  • Trailhead:

Black Rock Campground at site 30. I parked at the Visitors Center. (34.071557883637574, -116.390936425141)

  • Difficulty:

Mild inclines on the way up. Will get your heart pumping but not overly challenging.

  • Aesthetic Rating:

Some eye candy throughout - 360 degree views, interesting rock formations, cacti. Would be great to do this in the spring with wildflowers.

  • Distance:

    5.5 miles loop

  • Type:

    Dayhike
