Hatchet Peak

Hiking Hatchet Peak & Parker Peak in Sequoia National Forest

Southern Sierra peakbagging - if some bushwhacking and solitude are your jam, then these peaks are for you.  For Hatchet, Head north on a forest road 23S66 just east of Cold Springs Saddle off M-50.  Hike west up the ridge through the forest to the summit.  A combination of bushwhacking, rock-hopping and poison oak avoidance.  The summit registry is tucked into the split summit blocks and takes one committed move to get on top.
