Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest

Ancient Bristlecone Forest Methuselah Trail

A 4.5 mile loop hike through 3000-4000 year old Ancient Bristlecone Pines. The hike is a down to up loop but is fairly mild (although you may feel it more because of the +10000 ft elevation.) Despite fires raging through California at the time of the hike (August 2020), skies and visibility were relatively clear. A great hike to take your time with and enjoy the scenery and sublime beauty of the Bristlecone Pines.
