Anthony’s Nose

Anthony's Nose

2.2 mile out and back hike to Anthony's Nose and Lookout. Parking is a challenge but we were able to locate a place off the highway less than a 1/4 mile from the trailhead. We left in the evening to ensure a sunset at the top. As the sun went down the crowd left and we had the overlook to ourselves. Great views to the west, of the Hudson River, and of Bear Mountain State Park. Anthony's Nose is a quick side trip to the south of the overlook. Though people were walking this in sneakers, a walking stick and hiking shoes would be recommended for the downhill (leaves+moisture=gravity wins).
