Brown Mountain

Brown Mountain

This hike entails going down to get a peak. However, there are plenty of ups and downs along the way - 2500 ft total elevation gain. Views of downtown LA, the Pacific Ocean, and the blimp over Staples Center for the Clippers/Lakers game. From Eaton Saddle, I took Mt Lowe Road to Bear Canyon Trail. You eventually hit Tom Sloane Saddle (a good place for a break/snack) and then upwards to Brown Mountain.
