Burro Schmidt Tunnel to Peak 4391

Loop hike through the Burro Schmidt Tunnel to Peak 4391

After El Paso Mountain (Peak 5121), we went for a fun loop hike- parked at the Burro-Schmidt Tunnel - 1/2 mile through the tunnel and at the outlet took the nice use trail up and to the right (SW). It then joins the jeep road - continue SW along the jeep road to the obvious high point - great views of the Eastern Red Rock State Park panorama - from the high point take another jeep trail (closed to motorize vehicles) north along the ridge and then drop back down to the parking area for the mice- 1.8 mile loop - good fun for the kids.
