Cole Point

Cole Point

3 mile out and back hike on an HPS peak. Snow depth was anywhere from 1" to 8" but averaged 2-3". I used Micro-spikes and had no issue. Windy at the top but a pleasant day to hike. Multiple peaks could be identified including Strawberry Peak, Josephine Peak, Granite Peak, Pacifico Mountain, Mt Islip, and Mt Williamson. Could see Tehachapi Mountains as well.
  • Trailhead:

Approx Mile Marker 7.10 on Angeles Forest Highway (34.422024, -118.089064)

  • Difficulty:

    Easy (even with the snow)

  • Aesthetic Rating:

Great views because of the snow. Might be average (but worth it still) without the snow because of the many peaks you can see.

  • Distance:

    3 miles out and back

  • Type:

    Dayhike
