Echo Mountain

Echo Mountain via the Sam Merrill Trail

I took the Sam Merrill Trail for the hike to Echo Mountain. This is probably a 3 season hike (Fall/Winter/Spring) but if done in the summer, leave early to take advantage of the shade on the way up.  Nice views of the San Gabriels with informative plaques at the top noting the history of the Mount Lowe Railway and the White City.
