Ernest H. Debs Regional Park

Hiking near Downtown LA : Ascot Hills & Ernest E. Debs Park

A few quick hikes with great views of Downtown LA - if you find yourself in the heart of the city, these are 2 hikes that get you away and above the congestion. Ascot Hills and Ernest E. Debs Park.  Ascot Hill is a 1.4 mile loop hike to the high point.  The hike to the high point of Ernest E. Debs Regional Park starts just below the Audobon Center - take the fire road east and then south, before taking a hard right at the fire road junction - you will now be gaining elevation.  At 0.6 mile we left the fire road and headed up a steep single track - it levels where there is a nice bench to gaze at downtown.  Then a slight down before we took some single track up to the high point to the SE.
