Eureka Peak in Joshua Tree

Long drive (about 9 miles) for a short walk but worth the view and solitude. Once you reach the trailhead it's a stroll to the peak...I did mine in sandals. The peak offers a 360 degree view of the area - San Gorgonio, San Jacinto, Quail Mountain, Little Berdoo Point, Palm Springs, and so much more!

Trailhead:

Via Covington Flats Road/Eureka Peak Road. 2 wheel drive can make it, just go slow (34.030686, -116.349602)
Difficulty:

Very easy. The drive is more difficult than the hike.

Great 360 degree views. Sunrise was fantastic.
