Goat Buttes East

Hiking Goat Buttes East in Malibu Creek State Park

Started at Cistern Trail off Mulhollnd, then headed for the MASH site - at that point turned left following the fire road, before turning east again and going cross country up toward the summit.  Lots of loose dirt and rock, but the summit is worth the effort, especially at sunrise. While I climbed Goat Butte East, my son and John climbed Goat Butte West, before joining me.
