Jacks Peak (Loma Alta)

Jacks Peak (Loma Alta) in Monterey

1-mile kid-friendly loop hike in Jacks Peak County Park, Monterey. Despite the elevation above the town, the views are lacking (but the trees are beautiful!).  From the parking area head SW up the hill to the summit, which has a bench and no views.  Then head west downhill before turning NW towards the parking area- there is a small opening in the trees that offers nice views of Monterey and the bay.
