Mesa Peak, McAuley Peak and Monarch Butterfly Migration

Sunrise hike up McAuley Peak and Mesa Peak in Malibu Creek State Park in the Santa Monica Mountains.  Lucky to get this with a clearing storm and butterfly migration.

    Backbone Trailhead on Malibu Canyon Road just past Piuma Road (34.079962, -118.703844)

    6 miles round trip if done alone and 7 miles if done with McCauley Peak.
