Montecito Peak

Montecito Peak via Camino Cielo

A great family hike of Montecito Peak. Start from the Cold Springs Trailhead on Camino Cielo above Santa Barbara. You actually loose 500 ft. of elevation from the trailhead, until you head steeply up a use trail 300 ft. to the summit. Sublime views of the Pacific, the Channel Islands and the coastal cities. A bonus hike of La Cumbre Peak (only 0.4 miles round trip), where we had a lunch picnic and watched the storm come in.
