Mount Pinos

Mount Pinos - Snow Shoeing

I lucked out on this hike because the road was open/did not require chains AND I was there early and had the place to myself (although when I got back it was a madhouse). A great snowshoeing experience and a good one to break in the snowshoes. Gentle slopes to get to Mt. Pinos. I went off trail a bit and started post holing (lesson learned) but because it was so mild I didn't mind. Fantastic views of the Chumash Wilderness and the central valley. Highly recommended for snowshoeing.
