Mt. McCoy

Hiking White Face Mountain and McCoy Mountain in Simi Valley

Urban hiking up to a prominent white cross at the summit. Steep, direct trail to the summit. There is also a longer trail that switchbacks up to the saddle between McCoy and a shorter “peak” to the west.  This would have been an easier approach and we went down this way.   Sweeping views including the Ronald Reagan Library which is just to the north (an easy alternative approach would be from the Library).  Additional Peak 1340 can be tagged just north of McCoy next to the watertank.
