Navarro River Redwoods State Park

Along Highway 128 from the Coast Highway 1, there are 11 miles of Redwoods to explore with the kids. Just park at any of the turn-outs along the highway and walk through the redwoods. We did a 1/2-mile stroll to stretch the legs before leaving the orange, smokey skies for cleaner air elsewhere.

Trailhead:

We started at approximately 39.178510, -123.705057 along Highway 128, but there are numerous turnouts all with the same easy access to Redwood groves

Not as nice as further north, but these are wonderful groves of Redwoods.
