Pyramid Peak

Pyramid Peak

A day after climbing Mt. Dade, we headed up to Dade Lake, then up to Peppermint Pass. We followed the ridge which was easily Class III/IV. If your going to climb it please bring a pen or two to donate to the registry which was last signed in 2016. Thank you to Rock Creek Pack Station for packing us up to Chickenfoot Lake for a great "base camp" experience. It will certainly be the only climb I go on where the pre-climb meal is fresh bacon and the post-climb meal is grilled steak!
  • Trailhead:

Mosquito Flat Trailead at the end of Rock Creek Road

  • Difficulty:

Class III along the ridge with opportunity to spice it up more

  • Aesthetic Rating:

The ridge from Peppermint Pass was solid and very fun climbing the whole way

  • Distance:

5 miles round trip from our base camp at Chickenfoot Lake

  • Type:

    Dayhike
