San Gabriel Peak

Climbing San Gabriel Peak, Mount Deception & Mount Disappointment

A great way to quickly hike 3 HPS peaks.  Start at the Eaton Saddle, get San Gabriel for sunrise, followed by Mt. Disappointment and then Mt. Deception.  4 miles round trip if done alone from Eton Saddle.  About 5 miles round trip if combined with both Mt. Disappointment and Mt. Deception.  If you want to loose more elevation than you gain, do a car shuttle and start at Eaton Saddle and finish further down the Mt. Wilson Rood at the trailhead for Mt. Deception (0.4 miles from the Red Box Ranger Station).
