Schooner Gulch State Beach to Bowling Ball Beach

Schooner Gulch State Beach to Bowling Ball Beach

1.5 mile "hike" in Schooner Beach State Park to Bowling Ball Beach. Go at low tide if you want a chance to see the bowling balls - for perspective, this video was done at a low tide of 2.6 (so I would definitely recommend going at a lower tide, preferably a negative tide).  The hike takes off from the trailhead on Highway 1- either go down to the cove and then head up to the bluff from there as we did, or go from the parking area more directly onto the bluff.  Either way, once on the bluff head north until the trail descends to the beach.  Then head north until you see the bowling ball rocks.
