Valencia Peak

4.2 mile round trip out and back hike to Valencia Peak in Montaña de Oro State Park. Though hiking in June, flowers remained in bloom. Fog/clouds burned off on the way up revealing fantastic views of the Pacific and the coast. At the top, a picnic table greeted us for lunch. This is an easy dayhike although we stayed overnight at one of the primitive campgrounds to extend our stay to explore the Bluff Trail.

Easy. A straightforward walk on a well defined and well worn trail.
Aesthetic Rating:

Fantastic. It's difficult to go wrong with mountains, wildflowers, and an ocean view.
